I had a great time photographing Taryn and Nick’s wedding with Teresa Ferguson. It was a great wedding in Visalia and was one of my last of the year, wrapping up the wedding season. As a wedding photographer, my season tends to end between September or October. This wedding was a great way to end it.

Visalia Waiters Race

I went out to the Waiters Race with my camera this year. I have been out there pretty much every year since it started, minus college and a vacation. Another fun Waiters Race in the books for Visalia.
Here is how it goes down at the race. First, the contestants are local waiters and waitresses vying for a $1,000 prize among other prizes. They must hold a tray with one hand and they cannot grip the edge with their fingers, it must be balanced. The racers must then run a quarter mile without allowing any of the objects to fall off the tray.
I love events on Main Street. Having grown up here, I feel that Main Street is the heart of Visalia. Here are some pictures of the event. I would love to hear your thoughts on the matter and please share it with your friends.

… I would prefer if you smiled, but it’s your birthday. Now, Robert Wheater Photography is offering 50% discounts on portrait sessions for friends on Facebook on their birthdays. We offer three different types of sessions – the solo session, the BFF session and the romance session. You get a disc with a selection of images to print your own images. This promotion is only available to our friends on Facebook.
The solo session is just you and a couple changes of clothes (if you want a couple different looks) and we shoot a few studio style shots and then some enviromentals. The BFF session is usually shot in a more fun setting, we can shoot in a favorite location that you and your BFF frequent or shoot similar to a solo session in a few enviromentals. I have found that shooting at your favorite locations is a lot more fun. The last one is for you and that special someone. The romance session is identical to an engagement session and shot on location, in a beautiful environment.

I also do events so if you want me to photograph a really cool party, I can do that. We can do your portrait session during your party. Our rate for this is the same as our “Paparazzi Package” which starts at $200. We will follow you around and photograph your party and you will get lots of camera attention. We will use multiple strobe lighting and capture very cool and unique images that will trump normal club and event photographers. We do not shoot these parties like weddings but more like a red carpet event. I normally use an assistant for the “Paparazzi Package” and you will love the images that are produced for it.
You can also do a solo session on your birthday.
Brideography Package

I am now offering a Brideography package. It covers several photo shoots and is designed to cover several months to a year while you prepare for your wedding. The Brideography is a photography story of you preparing for your wedding day. It can be purchased separate from your normal wedding photographer or you may add it on to one you already have with me or the one you are going to get.

During the reception, you will also get a slideshow with music showing the preparation that you went through to get to your wedding. To do the Brideography, you coordinate with me before you go searching for a dress, the florist, the venue, etc… You get several sessions leading up to your wedding that tell the story of your preparation.
The Brideography comes in three packages for varying numbers of shoots and reserved days. The first package covers the search for the dress and the bridal shower. The second package adds on another on-location shoot (maybe the florist) and the bachelorette party, although you get to see the pictures before anyone else… you can blackmail your girlfriends.
The third and final Brideography package covers the search for the wedding wardrobe, I will also follow a bridesmaid group on a separate occasion (if needed). I will follow you to the florist and other vendors as planned. I will go to five different vendors with you. You will get your bridal shower covered and the bachelorette party (if you want it covered). On the day(s) leading up to your wedding, I will shoot a spa or stylist and your preparation for the wedding.
The brideography packages start at $1000 and you get a disc with your images and you get a slideshow. The length of that slideshow is based on the package you purchased.
