Krista and Kylie
Dec 30th
Krista and her beautiful daughter Kylie were a lot of fun to photograph. Parents and children are a blast and when you have a great mother like Krista that has such a photogenic daughter, it is even more fun. Kylie loved the camera and I always take advantage of that because there are plenty of children that are not as camera friendly. Some kids just want to hide from the camera and it takes a few minutes to warm up… that was not Kylie, Krista either, it was click, click, click for about an hour at a few locations. It was fun, rapid and alive.

Visalia Photographer, TGIF, Modeling and Events
Aug 3rd
This week was a blast, shooting with Natalie, setting up the TGIF Fan Appreciation and a birthday party for my friend’s daughter. I have a lot of shoots coming up, things are getting busy. If you are in California and want to book a photo shoot with me, call me at 559.623.7423 or email me at photo@hotmail.com and I would be happy to give you any information you need.
The photo shoot with Natalie was great, we hopped on an old firetruck just at sunset and shot until the twilight faded. My favorite time to shoot is at sunset and about an hour after the sun goes down. I used an SB-900 and three SB-600’s for the shoot for a total of four strobes. I wanted some harsh highlights so I didn’t use umbrellas with the strobes. It is not hard to make Natalie look beautiful, she does that all by herself.
I just started a new weekly event called TGIF Fan Appreciation for my local fans in the Central Valley. Each week one person is chosen from my facebook fans. That fan is rewarded with a free photo session and is able to pick from a few different types of sessions such as the BFF (Best Friends Forever), the business portrait, pet portrait and more. I like to keep it open to the winner to choose something they want. Also, the client will be given 4 free digital images of their choice and an option to buy fine art prints at a 20% discount. This weeks winner is Samantha Melching. Join our facebook fan page.
One of my closest friend’s daughter just turned 6. We had her birthday at the adventure park so I took my camera along. Well, I always take my camera along wherever I go. We had a blast. The adventure park in Visalia is a great place to have a party because of the variety of things to do. Here are some of the pictures from the day. If you would like to hire me for event photography, feel free to call me at 559.623.7423 or email me at photo@robertwheater.com and I will love to talk further.

To book an event call 559.623.7423. I have great weekday rates for birthday parties and other events.
Coming up tomorrow, a photo shoot with a beautiful bridal session with the beautiful Sunni Lund.

Photo Session [toddler] Symana
Mar 26th
More photography in Visalia, I love taking photos in Visalia. Today was a session with Symana. This was one of those sessions that kind of make you sad when it is over, like a good book when you get to the end and there is no more book to read. I almost feel like every one of my sessions recently have been like this. This session was very much for Easter. She had a few dresses and wanted to play in the dirt. This = great pictures.
Here are some shots of this photography session with Symana.

Photo Session [infant] David
Mar 21st
I love taking pictures of children. Perhaps it is because my own children are so dear to me and I love freezing a memory of someone’s child forever in a picture. There isn’t really a bigger compliment than someone letting you take pictures of their child. So, my newest, David was in the grass laughing away and really curious about the camera. It made for some great pictures here is one of then.
